We want to cast an inspirational and Biblical vision for teenagers and young adults of how a Christ-centered career calling can honor God and make an impact in their world. We pair marketplace leaders and students within their own local church to explore what this looks like in real-world, practical applications while nurturing a healthy, mentoring, discipleship relationship.

Once you’ve purchased the curriculum, you will gain access to our online portal that includes everything you’ll need to run the program including videos, instructions for activities, and training modules. The only additional items will be a workbook for each participant (available on Amazon), and any supplies needed for the activities (we give you plenty of notice in the portal), and any arrangements you choose to make for suggested experiences such as the kickoff retreat and the closing celebration events.

The program is designed as two, 8-week semesters. Each weekly session consists of short video lessons, learning activities, and group discussions designed to keep both students and mentors active and engaged.

The curriculum teaches a Biblical theology of work, practical career readiness skills, and discipleship lessons on topics that are applied to a workplace such as conflict resolution, time management, and how to build trust and influence with your coworkers.

For our purposes, a Marketplace Leader is someone who loves God but does not have a career in a ministry or church setting. This includes careers such as business leader, surgeon, teacher, skilled trades worker, news anchor, computer programmer, engineer, farmer, entrepreneur, marketing director, and as many other careers as you can think of!

Sessions are typically held once per week and run 75-90 minutes in length. There are 16 weeks divided into 2 semesters, usually offered in a fall and spring term during the academic year. However, the program is adjustable to fit your ministry calendar.

The curriculum is written for high schoolers and young adults. They can be students looking at going to college, beginning vocational training, or those who are beginning their career journey in the workforce. We recommend starting with students you know are interested in learning about their career options and will value the investment of a mentor.

The best mentors are marketplace leaders within your church who have a grasp of how their faith and careers intertwine and how both play a part in God’s mission for their lives. We recommend recruiting mentors who have an established career with access to opportunities and insight that will be valuable to their students.

The annual cost for all 16 weeks of the program is $400 and includes the full online video curriculum, a 24/7 online resource portal, and ongoing coaching and support to help you provide a successful program for all involved. In addition, each participant needs a workbook (available on Amazon for $35) which can be purchased by students, the church, or often a mentor will offer to buy them for the students involved. There are also some discretionary expenses that you’ll decide on for hospitality, the kickoff retreats, and celebration events. Churches can charge a fee for students or mentors to be a part of the program to help offset expenses.

We are passionate about raising up healthy, Kingdom-minded leaders to lead healthy, local churches. However, most churches focus only on young leaders who are called to ministry. But vocational ministry leaders are only a small percentage of the leadership needed for a strong, healthy local church! We want young leaders who are called to marketplace careers to understand how their local church can help them fulfill God's calling throughout their life.
